About THERMIT plant
THERMIT is the only manufacturer of efficient extruded polystyrene (XPS) in the Krasnoyarsk region. This thermal insulation is widely used in industrial and civil engineering and construction materials based on XPS.
The plant in Krasnoyarsk was put into operation in October 2007. THERMIT XPS thermal insulation has won medals at building exhibitions in Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Khakassia and Tuva.
Convenient location within the city of Krasnoyarsk, access railways and warehouses to provide enough products for any company give THERMIT‘s customers a great advantage. Now that the plant is into operation, any quantity of extruded polystyrene (XPS) is available directly at the plant in Krasnoyarsk. Construction companies of the Krasnoyarsk territory, Khakassia, Tuva, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo and Irkutsk areas can now widely use THERMIT XPS of any dimension types without fearing supply disruptions. At the beginning of the building season 2011 capacity of the plant has increased up to 500 thousand cubic metres a year.
At THERMIT plant we use modern European equipment and apply new production technologies. Thermal insulation manufacturing process is fully automated from feeding of raw materials to packaging. At the plant we have a certified laboratory which controls physical and mechanical properties of output products and issues a certificate of quality for each batch of goods.
In 2009 it was decided to extend construction materials lineup on the basis of THERMIT XPS. The emphasis of production shifts to the final product which is brand new for Russia – THERMIT SP construction boards (XPS boards, reinforced with polymer-cement sealer and fiberglass mesh) and to the THERMIT S sandwich panels. Our technology allows producing complicated sandwich panels of different thickness and with different surfaces (PVC, gypsum board, flat slate tile, MDF, fibreboard, etc).
In pursuing these aims we modernized the plant. Production areas were expanded 4 times. THERMIT SP construction boards (extruded polystyrene foam boards coated with reinforcing mesh and polymer-cement sealer) production line was designed and put into operation. We also purchased a fully automated German laminating line to produce THERMIT S sandwich panels.
