THERMIT S

THERMIT S sandwich panel is a frameless construction consisting of agglutinated layers: extruded polystyrene inside and a rigid sheet on the exterior.

Technical specifications

Depending on intended use on one side or on both sides of a panel there can be different rigid sheets: PVC sheet or laminated plastic for interior finishing or gypsum plasterboard, flat slate roof tiles and wood-slab materials (particleboard, MDF, fiberboard, OSB, CBPB) for application in building.

THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering are used for facing works of window and door reveals, walls, loggias and balconies, for opaque filling of doors and office partitions and for outdoor advertising manufacturing.

Field of application of THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering

Due to their aesthetic look, light weight, durability, long service life and ecological safety, THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering are suitable for private interiors, low-rise housing construction, office interiors, public places and industrial premises, including refrigeration and food industry premises.

  • Window and door reveals finishing
  • Loggia inside and outside finishing
  • Signs and outdoor advertising manufacturing
  • Display stands manufacturing
  • Office partitions manufacturing
  • Opaque filling of doorways, winter gardens and stalls

Window and door reveals

THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering are most widely used for window and door reveals finishing during PVC windows installation (“insulated glass units”).

Window and door reveals finishing with THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering allows preventing reveals from freezing due to thermal insulation properties of their filling (extruded polystyrene). THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering protect window and door reveals from mold.

THERMIT S sandwich panels application makes installation easier: they are light, easy to process and match; they do not need additional finishing, and there is not much waste left after processing.

Opaque filling

THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering are used for opaque filling when light transmission is not required. These are doors, office partitions, winter gardens, stalls, display stands and loggia and balcony facades.

Office partitions made with THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet covering have got fine thermal insulation properties and deaden sound. Moreover, they can be easily removed or moved to another place.

Signs and outdoor advertising manufacturing

THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet or with high pressure laminate covering are perfect for outdoor advertising. You can make different types of advertising media: signage, awnings, billboards, signs, sign boards, pillars, advertising displays, exhibition modules, bus stop pavilions, information stands and promotional stands.

THERMIT S sandwich panels with PVC sheet or with high pressure laminate covering are easy in processing. It is possible to install illumination. You can apply silkscreen, self-adhesive film or paint on the surface. Extruded polystyrene filling ensures properties which are extremely important for outdoor advertising – humidity resistance and rigidness.

Simplicity and convenience of installation

THERMIT S sandwich panels are lighter than traditional building materials. They are easy to cut and process with simple building instruments. Partitions, walls, roof and other building elements’ erection takes less time than traditional building. Quickness and simplicity of installation allows disassembling constructions and moving them to another place easily.

Environmental friendliness

PVC sheet covering complies with all relevant environmental standards. These sandwich panels can be used in any residential buildings and industrial premises, including refrigeration, processing and food industry premises.

High heat transmission resistance

Extruded polystyrene (XPS) is the base of a sandwich panel. It has the lowest thermal conductivity among thermal insulation materials, used in building.

Humidity resistance

Extruded polystyrene which is inside a sandwich panel is a humidity and vapour resistant material. Despite the fact that a sandwich panel humidity resistance is generally defined by its coating humidity resistance, a great advantage of using extruded polystyrene as a filling of THERMIT S sandwich panel is that it does not require additional waterproofing (in distinction from foam plastic or mineral wool).

Noise insulation

Even with modest thickness THERMIT S sandwich panels ensure excellent noise insulation properties.

Resistance of coating

THERMIT S sandwich panel surface is easy to wash. It complies with all relevant hygiene codes. You can easily apply a pattern or self-adhesive film on the surface. The material is resistant to atmospheric action and temperature differentials from -30 to 60 degree Celsius. THERMIT S sandwich panel PVC sheet covering is resistant to discolouration, dirt, water and water solutions, and it does not need additional decor.
